Professor Jeff Heinz has been awarded an interdisciplinary NIH grant with Professor Herbert G. Tanner (Mechanical Engineering and lead investigator), and Professor Cole Galloway (Physical Therapy). The project is titled "GEAR - Grounded Early Adaptive Rehabilitation" and aims to develop a portable, robotic-assisted rehabilitation environment for young children with motor disabilities. Professor René Vidal, (Johns Hopkins University, Biomedical Engineering) is also contributing to this project.
