​Dr. Yasuaki Shinohara will be presenting "Mismatch Negativity (MMN) responses for phonemic representation and acoustic-phonetic realizations" on Friday, October 27th from 3-4:30pm in the Linguistics & Cognitive Science Department, 125 E. Main Street, room 107. Dr. Shinohara is an Associate Professor at Waseda University in Tokyo. He is conducting research in cross-language speech perception and production as well as teaching English and Phonetics courses. Dr. Shinohara’s research interests are in Second language (L2) speech perception & production and Computer-based L2 phonetic training.
There will be a short reception with light refreshments directly following Dr. Shinohara’s presentation.
