​​A number of current UD graduate students and alumni presented at the 2017 Annual Meeting of the Linguistic Society of America in Austin, Texas.
Current students:
Taylor L. Miller gave a talk at The Society for the Study of the Indigenous Languages of the Americas, a sister society of the LSA. The talks was titled "Kiowa Tonal Modification and the Prosodic Hierarchy".
Justin Rill gave a talk titled "A typological perspective on extraction asymmetries: the disambiguation hypothesis".
Kristina Strother-Garcia presented her poster titled "Berber syllabification with local inviolable constraints".
Mai Ha Vu presented her poster titled "Focus negation is constituent negation in Hungarian".
A highlight of the meeting was the Award Ceremony, where Dr. Jeffrey Heinz received the Early Career Award from the LSA.
