Xiaoyi Tang is a PhD student in Linguistics and Cognitive Science at University of Delaware. She holds a M.S. in Educational Linguistics and worked as a graduate assistant at University of Pennsylvania. Her main research interests are phonetics, phonology, speech production and perception, and phonetic neuroscience. She is also interested in using experimental measures to study how the brain processes speech sounds and how the brain generates novel phonetic representations.
